  • Email signups

  • Bookings or inquiries

  • Which content people engage with most


That's it. You're not trying to become a data analyst. You're just trying to notice patterns.

Without tracking, you're guessing. You might keep doing things that aren't really working, simply because you assume they are. Or you might stop doing something that was actually helping, just because it didn't feel exciting.


Tracking takes the guesswork out of growing your online presence. It helps you see, in simple terms, what's connecting with your audience and what isn't, so you can spend your time wisely.


This step also helps you feel encouraged. Sometimes progress is happening quietly in the background, and tracking is how you notice it.

Here's a simple way to start tracking, without it becoming a chore.


1. Pick a few simple numbers to watch. Website visits, email signups, and inquiries are a great place to start.


2. Check in monthly, not daily. Daily numbers can bounce around and feel discouraging. Monthly trends give you a clearer picture.


3. Notice your top-performing content. Which blog post, email, or social post got the most engagement? That's a clue about what your audience wants more of.


4. Write it down. A simple spreadsheet or notebook is enough. You're looking for patterns over time, not perfect data.
